Evil Cannot Reside in the Body of Christ

The recent cancellation of an HGTV show featuring Christian twin brothers has been the subject of numerous news broadcasts. HGTV is alleged to have canceled the brother’s upcoming show Flip It Forward supposedly due to their biblical stand on God’s view of homosexuality. However, what brought me to write this blog was a news caster’s comment on the brother’s biblical position where he said that there are gay Christians.  For me, the newscaster’s statement brought Satan’s agenda front and center as a clear frontal attack on the very foundation of our faith—Jesus.

The Bible tells us that Satan’s agenda has always been and remains as his goal to deceive lost and hurting people and delude them into believing that there is no hope. However, I believe there is an even more sinister hidden agenda that true believers should pay heed to. Satan is using people to challenge and nullify the truth of God’s word. Worse, that the God and Father of Jesus Christ our lord is no longer the just and Holy God as revealed in the Holy Scriptures.

For instance, the Holy Scriptures make it clear that a Christian, i.e. Christ follower or footstep follower of Jesus, must have repented, Matthew 4:17 of their immoral acts and deeds.  Repentance literally means to have a change of mind and to turn and walk in a new direction. Thus, if a person is yet an active participant in any immoral act such as murder, lying, cheating, including homosexuality, and so on, then that person has not had a change of mind and therefore they cannot join themselves to the body of Christ, Ephesians 5:1-5. In other words, the newscaster basically called Jesus a liar. More so, this lie is a subtle attempt to render all of God’s biblical promises and commandments as non-effect which then effects the salvation of thousands of millions who have been truly been called into the body of Christ since the recording of God’s Holy word.

God said in Isaiah 65:1 that those who are not even searching for Him will be found by Him. And, in Amos 9, God said the gentiles, non-Jewish nations, would be part of His kingdom. As a 20th century recipient of this ancient biblical promise, I am a living testimony that God, His word, and Jesus our Lord and savior are unchanged.

My book, titled Mine—written for women new to Christianity and especially those who were lost and hurting [currently being considered for publication] chronicles how God took an ungodly woman immersed in the pain of life [me] and changed her into a conqueror in Christ. How? God, through His Holy Spirit, walked with me as He guided me through the necessary steps of repentance, i.e. a change of mind. Thus, despite Satan’s attempts to show otherwise, God remains unchanged from His message of love to us in the Holy Scriptures.

God said I change not in Malachi 3, and Hebrews 13:8 tells believers that Jesus remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. For this very reason, because God is unchanged, joy, hope and peace are available for every lost person through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ and trust in our heavenly Father that He loves us. Thus, Satan’s agenda to destroy the foundation of hope must be taken very seriously.

I am looking forward to your responses.
